Warranty Policy

Warranty Policy

DOWNLITE stands behind the quality and workmanship of the products we sell. Unless a different warranty is specifically stated for a product, DOWNLITE warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the original date of shipment.

This warranty applies to products purchased directly from DOWNLITE Wholesale and is intended to cover manufacturing defects. It is not a satisfaction guarantee or an extension of our standard return period.

What Is Covered

The warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that occur during normal and intended use of the product.

Depending on the product and circumstances, examples of a potential manufacturing defect may include:

  • Open or defective seams

  • Defective stitching or construction

  • Fabric or component failure attributable to a manufacturing defect

  • Fill leakage resulting from a manufacturing or construction defect

  • Other workmanship or material defects present in the product

The existence of a defect will be determined by DOWNLITE after reviewing the claim and, when necessary, inspecting the product.

What Is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover damage or product changes resulting from:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Improper use, handling, storage, or care

  • Failure to follow product care or laundering instructions

  • Commercial laundering processes that are not appropriate for the product

  • Stains, spills, odors, discoloration, or soiling

  • Cuts, tears, punctures, burns, or other accidental damage

  • Damage caused by equipment, furniture, machinery, pets, or other external sources

  • Damage occurring during transportation after delivery to the customer

  • Alterations or modifications made after purchase

  • Normal compression, settling, or redistribution of filling materials

  • Changes in loft, firmness, or feel resulting from normal use

  • Customer preference regarding comfort, firmness, loft, warmth, or other subjective characteristics

  • Products used for purposes other than their intended application

Normal variations in natural filling materials, including down and feathers, are not considered manufacturing defects when they do not affect the intended function of the product.

Making a Warranty Claim

Warranty claims must be submitted to DOWNLITE within the applicable warranty period.

To help us evaluate a claim, customers may be asked to provide:

  • Order or invoice number

  • Product name or item number

  • Quantity affected

  • Description of the issue

  • Photographs showing the product and claimed defect

  • Product labels or law-label information when applicable

  • Additional information reasonably necessary to evaluate the claim

Please do not return merchandise without authorization from DOWNLITE.

In many cases, photographs and supporting information may allow us to evaluate a claim without requiring the product to be returned.

Approved Warranty Claims

If DOWNLITE determines that a product has a covered manufacturing defect, we will determine the appropriate resolution based on the circumstances.

At DOWNLITE's discretion, an approved claim may be resolved through:

  • Replacement of the affected product

  • Replacement of the defective component, when applicable

  • Account credit

  • Refund of the applicable product purchase price

  • Another mutually agreed-upon resolution

Approved manufacturing-defect claims are not subject to a restocking fee.

If DOWNLITE requires defective merchandise to be returned as part of an approved warranty claim, DOWNLITE will provide return instructions and will be responsible for the authorized return freight.

Shipping Damage

Damage that occurs while an order is in transit should be reported as a shipping claim, rather than a warranty claim.

Please inspect shipments promptly upon delivery and report shipping damage or shortages in accordance with our Shipping and Returns & Claims Policies.

For LTL deliveries, visible damage or shortages should also be noted on the carrier's delivery receipt whenever possible.

Products Resold to Your Customers

This wholesale warranty applies to the products purchased from DOWNLITE by our wholesale customer.

If a product has been resold to an end customer and a potential manufacturing defect is reported, please contact DOWNLITE before issuing a replacement, refund, or other adjustment on our behalf. We may request photographs, product information, proof of purchase, or other documentation necessary to evaluate the claim.

DOWNLITE is not responsible for additional warranties, guarantees, return privileges, or other commitments independently offered by a reseller to its customers unless those terms have been authorized by DOWNLITE in writing.

Other Product Warranties

Certain products may carry different or additional warranty terms. When a product-specific warranty is provided, those terms will apply to that product.

Questions or Warranty Assistance
